For the area of maritime commercial law/transport law we are looking for a lawyer (f/m/d) to strengthen our team from 1 May.
Your tasks:
- Out-of-court representation of transport insurers, companies in the shipping industry and the logistics sector
- Representation of our clients before national courts as well as national and international arbitration tribunals (ICC, GMAA, DIS, Warenverein etc.)
- Review of coverage claims for industrial insurers, insurance brokers and underwriters
- Advice on the drafting of contracts in the logistics and insurance sectors
- Coordination of our foreign correspondence lawyers, advice on German law issues, mandating and monitoring proceedings before foreign courts
Your qualifications:
- Above-average legal qualifications
- Knowledge in our core competences of transport law, insurance law and maritime law is desirable, but not a prerequisite for employment
- Interest and pleasure in independent litigation
- Business fluent in English, ideally acquired abroad (e.g. through LL.M. studies)
- Structured, independent approach to work and entrepreneurial thinking
- Commitment and team spirit
