REMÉ regularly appears in proceedings before state courts as well as national and international arbitration tribunals. Our core practice areas are, by nature, mostly international. Therefore, we have a great deal of expertise in managing cross-border litigation. The firm’s expertise is particularly sought after in disputes in the core areas of transport and logistics, insurance, and maritime and general commercial law.
In addition, several of the firm’s partners are regularly appointed as arbitrators: by ad hoc arbitration tribunals, the DIS, the GMAA, the ICC and the Commodities Association of the Hamburg Stock Exchange (Waren-Verein der Hamburger Börse).
In international disputes, REMÉ takes on local litigation, for example in attachment and preliminary injunction proceedings as well as proceedings on the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
